Hi. We are planning to do our smallish typical 1200sq ft semidetached house kitchen soon (1200 is house size, havent measured kitchen yet!). We want to get rid of the useless island jutting out of the wall and replace with a pantry. We need to re-tile floor and splashback as well.
If we decide to hire a fitter and tiler, how much should this run with the economy slowing down? Should we trust ourselves to tackle it (we've done some DIY, but nothing like this)?
Where are the best kitchens found? I've heard a lot of good things about IKEA. What about tiles?
When are the sales? July or August? we'll need a new cooker and dishwasher also.
We are in Newbridge if that helps. Any recommendations for labourers is welcome. We don't want to spend more than 2000 to 2500 if that is realistic.
