Kitchen Island Installation

I'll be installing a kitchen island during the week.

I've installed kitchens before & so know about securing the base cabinets to the walls but does anyone have any tips on installing an island & how best to secure it to a tiled floor?

First thoughts were to make a rectanglular shaped frame to attached the rear of each of the cabinets too & then using the regular legs at the front so I can still attach a plinth.

Getting this rectangle dead level will be the tricky bit I'd imagine.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Make a platform a bit less than the dimension as the plan of the island.
Make the height of the platforma bit shorter than leg height.
In order to get the island level put wedges under corners and the middle until its plumb then chop off the bits sticking out. Then tighten the unit legs till they are tight on the ground. Cover up all the untidy bits with kicking board and you should be in business.
Any problems with it PM me and I'll help you out as best I can.

Someone told me I don't need to make a frame at all - just to get a number of long 90 degree brackets attaching one side to the inside of the cabinet & the other to the floor.
This approach seems easier as I can get the island level using the cabinet legs & once it's all level then secure it to the floor.
What do you think?
