We are looking for an adorable brown and white King Charles puppy. My friend had arranged an appointment with her contact to have first refusal on a puppy but when we got there it was sold. I believe they have come down in price because they are no longer accepted in Krupps! I am not looking for registration papers - just the puppy.

Please ring around the dogs homes and see if you can get one. We got an adult cav a few years back from ASH and he's the most adorable little fella. Not sure of his age, probably around 4 when we got him. He was house trained and so friendly. Kids constantly stop me on the street to rub him! I know puppies are so cute but please consider rehoming an unwanted dog. Either way ring around, they could have a pup.

We have 3 of these dogs. Do you want a dog or a puppy. There are always some of these looking to be adpoted through caviler rescue.

If you want more info etc pop me a pm.

Oh and of course mine is called Baxter

Many thanks Ron & Yoltan, the reason I'm looking for a puppy is because we have a 12 year old cat (who is the boss of our house) and would not like to have a dog (possibley) frightening her. I just thought a puppy would not have the dog instincts and grow with her. I will look at the links and I'm sending you a pm Ron. Thanks again Mary

Many proper dog shelters will spend time with the dogs in their care and will introduce them to other dogs and to cats (every shelter has a few cats hanging around ) and so will be able to tell you whether an adult dog in their care will get on well with a resident cat. An older dog could actually be better because if there's one thing cats (particularly older cats) hate, it's noise and general excitement - which you're guaranteed to get with a puppy! An older dog would in general be far more chilled out.

Very good point. I do notice when we have visitors that our cat prefers to go outside or into another room where there is no noise.

I agree with Sherman. Puppies are really cute but they can be a handful. Maybe it would be too much for your cat. At 12 she's going to be well settled and relaxed in her environment and won't be overly impressed with a hyper little puppy jumping around! When we rescued our dog from ASH there were loads of other dogs, cats and even goats strolling around!
