Kids runners, not fit for purpose. Velcro wont stick runners keep falling off!

Bought a pair of childrens runners on 14th Feb. The child has worn them for the past 2 days & i have found that the velcro dosen't stick on them for long & keep slipping off the childs foot. Am i entitled to an exchange or refund for these. They would not be fit for resale as they have been worn.

You'll get a refund, as you are entitled to one. Take them back to the shop. If you have the receipt and the box, then take them along too. The box makes things much easier.

I returned a pair of runners after several months (they had come unstuck). My daughter had kept the box for playing, fortunately, and the shop were happy to refund.

You are entitled to a refund, as they were not of selling quality in the first place, so the question of resale does not arise. What usually happens in these cases is that they are returned to the manufacturer. Any good shop will not quibble about this.

No - you are entitled to repair/replace/refund. The law does not give specific rights to refund of fault goods. The shop may well just offer you another pair.
 
Check the velcro to make sure there is nothing caught in it. I had a similar problem before and was all set to return them. On closer inspection there was a load of cotton wool stuck to the "sticky" part of the velcro and thats what was stopping them from sticking.

If there is nothing on it, bring them back with the reciept & I'm sure they will sort you out. As said before - they will return them to the manufacturer and not put them out for resale
