Kids bank account

Hi, I am looking for advice on the best bank account to open for my kids, aged 7 and 8. Up until now I have used one account in the eldest's name but with presents and 1st holy communion looming, it's time to seperate.They will need to be able to access them and I am wondering wheather to go with post office, credit union or bank. Any advice would be great.

A Credit Union will give them a poor return for their money.

An Post is good for long term savings but not good for drip feeding.

I think PTSB Safari Saver account, is the best option below, with a higher balance threshold than EBS, and with 3.00% AER variable interest payments.
