Keyboard with in-built mouse

If a keyboard has an in-built mouse

such as this;

does this mean that once the keyboard is in operation, only the in-built mouse can ever be used?

If I tried the in-built mouse and didn't like it, can I use a regular separate mouse in conjunction with such a keyboard instead of using the in-built mouse?

Looks like a normal touch pad mouse that you have with a lap top and there's no problem using the likes of a wirelsss optical mouse with such a laptop - we use one ourselves and when we need to recharge the wirless mouse we revert back to the touchpad.
