Suellen, maybe you'll put this in under Short Breaks in Ireland?

Wicklow is situated 30 miles south of Dublin. Main route is the N11/M11. Although, the coast road is a nice drive, so many people take this route. Here are some suggestions:

Glendalough: [broken link removed]
Wicklow Gaol - In Wicklow Town. [broken link removed]
Mount Usher Gardens - Ashford homepage.eircom.net/~gardens/
Powerscourt
Avoca Handweavers www.avoca.ie/map.shtml?id=1
Tinakilly Hotel www.tinakilly.ie - Afternoon Tea is a nice experience here. The area around the hotel is lovely. Take a walk down to the lakes at broadlough, very nice!
Hunters Hotel www.hunters.ie/ - Again, lovely place for Afternoon Tea & beautiful gardens.
Avondale House [broken link removed]
Kilruddery House www.killruddery.com/

Bray/Greystones/Avoca/Wicklow Town, just all nice places to visit individually.

They don't call it the garden of Ireland for nothing !

Recently stayed in Rathsallagh House in Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow. Lovely place. Very comfortable and welcoming. Outstanding food. 18 Hole Golf Course in the grounds.

Brooklodge Hotel in Aughrim is very good also. Emphasis on organic food. Very good venue for wedding reception - you can even have the wedding ceremony in a tiny, deconsecrated church on the grounds.(www.brooklodge.com).
