Been in there before and also eaten at a function, quite a nice hotel. They also have a very good fitness centre. To do in the area: Kildare town is about a five minute drive where there's the National Stud and Japanese Gardens which can a be a great day out and who'll provide you with a tour if you want. Closer to the hotel is the Curragh racecourse, great if you can time your stay to a weekend it's happening. Newbridge is a nice town, not a hell of a lot of touristy stuff but there is Newbridge Cuttlery and the Cholcolate Factory both of which you can call into. The greyhounds are on fairly often in Newbridge also.
