Hi,
I got a phone call today about Belmayne. Appartently I was on the reserve list.

Cost €252,000.

Cannot get a convential mortgage for this amount.

When I applied for these apartments I think May 2007 Newsletter, i had shared ownership approval last year for €250,000 with Dublin City Council.

I got the Shared Ownership Loan extended but this appoval expired in February 2008.

Unfortuantely I earned over €40,000 last year so am excluded from applying for the shared ownership scheme.

Has anybody got shared ownership scheme to further extend previous loan approval or got approval when previous years P60 was over the €40,000 limit.

Would really like to get this apartment?

Can anybody advise

aww yeah its a killer that your just over.... my boyfriend got an affordable apt and he had got the apt on the previous years tax returns which were 40,000,by the time he got the apt he was earning 55,000 per year .... god have you phoned them to see if they can do anything for you.. fingers crossed for ya!!!

we actually live beside belmayne in an apt, which type did you view? xx

I just searched for Belmayne on myhome.ie there is a one bed for sale asking price 265,000. You may be able to bargain them down and get it at a cheaper price than the affordable housing. The same goes for lots of areas at the moment, just giving you ideas.

Thanks for the replies.

I can get mortgage approval from bank for €230 K but only for two bed property. They factor in that i would rent a room.

For a 1 bed apt I can only get approval for €200k as I couldn't avail of the rent a room scheme.

Just another catch 22 situation!!!

Got a phone call from Dublin City Council offering me the apartment. However I still have not got registered letter. Rang Council last tuesday they said they would send me another letter. Still haven't received it. How long after getting phone call did you receive the letter?
