My 23 year old daughter has just finished college in England and is now looking for employment. Ultimately she is jobless and homeless as we live abroad for the time being due to my husband's work and we don't own a property in the UK at the moment, having sold our house a couple of years ago.
How does she go about claiming benefits for unemployment or indeed arrange living accommodation or is that still our responsibility even though she is now a mature adult?
We have supported her for the past 5 years through college and have another daughter who we support at University and a third daughter about to go to uni next year. What kind of help can she get - any advice anyone?
The information I've seen so far is that she has to wait for 3 months before applying for any kind of benefits - what's she supposed to do in the interim?
