Jury Service

Hi,

My Uncle was due for Jury Service next week and got his summons in the post. I sent back in a copy of his summons with his flight details showing he wont be in the country and explaining that he can be called once he is back from holidays.

As you cannot call the courts everything has to be done via the postal system i am not sure he will get a reply before he leaves for his holiday at the weekend.

Does anyone know if there will be an issue with him not being there next week?

Are you sure you can't call them? I was in a similar position last year and called to confirm - I thought there was a number on the letter

Yes I tried calling there number yesterday but it gives you i think it was 5 or 6 options none get you through to an actual person the rest just advise you on the commonly asked questions in relation to your query and then tell you all correspondents need to be sent into them in writing.

I sent off the forms yesterday along with the flight details so I am hoping there wont be an issue.
