JSB to JSA

Hi, my jsb expires next month. I've returned the form for the jsa means test, so just have to sit tight and wait for the call/letter from social welfare. My case is fairly straightforward i.e. single, no dependents, over 25, live at home & have savings from redundancy (€9,000).

I was told in my local sw sub office I may have to supply bank account details, but some times they won't check & I assume approve it, based on info I've supplied on app form. I'm still anxious I'll get a reduced jsa. Is there any reason this could happen? Thank's:)

Savings < €20,000 are not assessed for means for jsa. If that is all the capital you have and do not own property that you do not live in then you should not receive a reduced rate due to means being applied.
