hi, i think i may have to sign on. i'd qualify for jobseekers benefit.

how long does it take? my brother says he's still waiting to be processed since jan... can it really take this long?

thing is, i'm away... can i apply for this outside ireland?

When you say that you are " away", do you mean that you are living abroad.
Then, no, you can't get JA or JB.

You are only entitled to JA or JB is you are available for work in Ireland,
If you are not in Ireland, you are not available for work.

Waiting times vary from office to office, but waiting since Jan seems unusually long and suggests other factors rather than backlogs are at work. You can apply when you return to Ireland.
