being made redundant at Xmas... i previously worked part time and claimed off my stamps. when i am made redundant - what should i bring to sw office (p.45, redundancy info, id's, proof of address etc - anything else), do I try make an appointment with them or just go in?
also as i will be getting a settlement does this affect your sw entitlement for any period of time?
had a read of that Sue before i posted...... think i know what to bring in...
i'm wondering if you get a lump sum payment does it affect when you get your payment and secondly what do i apply for... one can get bogged down with all the reading
You should apply for Jobseeker's Benefit (based on PRSI contributions) in the first instance.
If you receive a redundancy payment, you may be disqualified from receiving payment for a number of weeks, depending on the amount received and your age.
Gipimann - that's exactly what i was looking for! thanks....
As i have prev claimed for part time work - would my contributions possibly run out? I am sure they will tell me when I sign on? if that is a case would i get JSA or what happens then?
