hi, i've never signed up for jsa before. how long does it take to set up? do i just walk in to my nearest social welfare office, with my passport and say i'd like to sign on?
i've 14 years stamps paid, so i'm sure i'd qualify.
emailed my brother about it, he said he signed on in janurary, and still hasn't been processed... and gets 185 from the hse.
You can transfer to another EU country for up to 3 months (up to 6 in exceptional circumstances) and continue to be paid your Jobseeker's Benefit from Ireland.
The claim must be in payment in Ireland for 4 weeks before it can be transferred - you can't make the initial claim abroad.
It only applies to Jobseeker's Benefit, not to Jobseeker's Allowance.
Read the keypost at top of this forum. From your other posts (lperhaps you should keep them in the one thread?), it appears you don't qualify for JB, which is the payment that can be paid abroad. JA can't be paid abroad.
