JSA and Internship

JobBridge tells that Interns will receive an allowanceof €50 per week on top of their existing social welfare entitlement. I'm about to start Internship and my original 9 month job seeker allowance is soon to expire, will they extended it for next 9 months while I'm on internship?

No, your Jobseeker's Benefit won't be extended. If you haven't already done so, you should apply for the means-tested Jobseeker's Allowance. If you have an entitlement to Jobseeker's Allowance, that will be paid during your internship (plus the extra €50)

If you do not qualify for Jobseeker's Allowance due to means, you can continue to sign for credits, and while on the internship programme, you will receive €50.
