Jointly assessed - maternity leave (16wks unpaid)?

I am currently on maternity leave. My standard 26wks has finished and I have taken the full 16wks additional unpaid maternity leave.

My question is as we are jointly assessed do I need to contact the revenue regarding this - or is it the case that I will just get a tax refund in Jan 2010 ?

You'll need to file a tax return to get any refund due. Form 12 is both are employees and Form 11 is self-employed
