Joint Will for married couple

Just wondering I called into a local solicitors and asked about making a will, they said yep its 50 euro for each will. Talking to friends afterwards, they mentioned that they had made a Joint Will, is there any advantage or disadvantage to drawing up a joint will? I would have thought cost would have been kept down etc.

I don't think there is any such thing as a Joint Will. Each person makes their own - they may be saying that they made wills which reflected each other - everything to the other in the first instance with a folly up if spouse predeceased. Costs are minimal anyway - you could always do your own if you feel confident that you know enough about law to get it right.

Thanks for the answer, we'll proceed with seperate wills then, the solicitors provided us with forms to fill out relevent info and a making a will booklet as well.
