John Prine (RIP)

Also RIP to Adam Scheslinger, lead singer of 1990s US group The Fountains of Wayne - Staceys Mom being their biggest hit.
I remember it getting a lot of MTV airplay back when they still played music videos.
He was 52, not sure if underlying conditions.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his soundtrack work in the Tom Hanks film That Thing You Do.

RIP John, Adam & Tim. I miss John most of all. A long time resident in Kinvarra for parts of the year and selfless performer in and around Ireland and Galway in particular. Thanks Guys xxx

Another loss over the weekend was racing driver Sterling Moss aged 90, apparently a COVID-19 victim. I saw him race many times. RIP

Also in the world of sport, Leeds United soccer legend Norman Hunter has died aged 76. Hunter, who made 28 international appearances and was part of the 1966 World Cup-winning squad, was last week admitted to hospital with coronavirus.
That was Norman "bites yer legs" Hunter. RIP.
