Jobseekers- how long to wait?

It's looking like we are going on a three day week at my company. Does anyone know how long the wait is now to get jobseekers payments? I work in Galway and live in Mayo so not sure which area my application would go to, does the area you live in make any difference in processing claims?

We are not managing on the income we have as it is, so can't survive a long wait. Can you get the emergency payments from the Community welfare Officer if you are still working a few days?

You apply at the SW office where you live, so Mayo is where your application should be made.

Claim processing times vary from office to office.

SWA paid by the CWO is means-tested, so entitlement will depend on your household income. As a guide, if the household income is greater than the equivalent SWA rate for your family size, you won't qualify.
