You need permission from the DoSP before every foreign trip. You are entitled to 14 days holidays per year- also only after getting permission to leave the country.

If I take money on Wednesday morning, leave in the afternoon and come back on Tuesday, do I also have to report it?
That would count as fraud because you are practically all the time out of the country and only come back to collect your money.
I only wanted a 5-day trip with my daughter, not leaving the country to cheat

People only receive Jobseekers benefit if they have been working for multiple years. In the vast majority of cases the JSB they receive is a fraction of the taxes they paid in the past year and possibly less than the taxes they paid on their redundancy if made redundant. Some of the rhetoric and curt responses on this thread are judgemental and unwarranted and extreme right wing in my opinion. I believe the OP has asked very valid questions so dont agree with the tone of some of the curt and judgemental responses.
