I have been claiming JSB for two years now. I work 3 days a week. I got a letter last week to say that my claim was closed as I had used my 312 stamps. I've worked out I have only used around 260. The social welfare have told me that I have used 312.

Is there anyway of checking how many I have used?

I think the JB week is 6 days.....You work 3 days and get paid for 3 days...so if you have been receiving it for 2 years as you say, that would equal 312 days.

52 weeks at 3 days = 156 days multiply that by 2 years = 312 days.
 
Thanks for your reply Ann. I was getting paid for 3 days to last July then it changed to 2 days.
 
Then I would contact them. They may have recalculated your entitlement under the new rules in the last budget...(12 months were reduced to 9 months)...but I thought existing claims were exempt from the new rules in the Budget.
 
Although you've only been paid for 2 days pw since last July, you are still recorded as being unemployed for 3 days which may explain the 312 total.

Thanks for your reply, I didn't realise the days were counted as 3 not 2. That would explain it

I haven't gotten through to my welfare office since. I recieved the new casual dockets to sign today. I presume they were sent by mistake
