Hello.

My job seekers benefit is ending soon so I will have to be means tested for JSA. Can someone please help me estimate if I am entitled to anything?

My spouses gross weekly salary is €499. His PRSI is €15 approx.

He does not have a PRSI but I do and it is €46.15 p/w. Can this be taken into our means test?

There are no union subs etc.

We have no children and pay a mortgage so no rent.

Would I be entitled to anything?

Thank you for your help.

Highly unlikely you will entitled to anything.

How have you got a 46 euro PRSI if you are not working?

Sorry I meant PRSA. Not PRSI! It was set up when I was working but I think it may have to be stopped for a while! Can it count now in our household deductions?

I haven't read up yet on the prsa payment made by you,but otherwise, the calculation goes as follows:

Gross. 499
Less prsi. -15
3 day disregard. -60
Subtotal. 424
Means (x.6). 254

Max sw. 188+124.8
Payment 58.8

If the prsa is taken into account then the payment would be 86
