Hi guys, quick question, applied for means tested Jobseekers Allowance, under 25, living with parents. Claim was rejected as parents income too high.

Question is, parents both pay a significant amount monthly for their Personal Insolvency Arrangement, should this not be taken into account in the means test and be deducted from earnings like rent/mortgage as it is a formal agreement?

I mean, if it is taken into account, I will definitely qualify

I've looked at the operational guidelines, and I don't see any mention of this being an allowable deduction.
Allowable deductions are tax,usc,etc
€600 per week
Rent/mortgage
Health insurance

Also,if you have lived away from the family home for 3 years, you don't get assessed on your parents income.
