A spanish friend is moving to ireland in 2 weeks time. She has been in receipt of unemployment assistance in Spain and wants to export her benefits for the 3 months allowed when she arrives here. She will stay at my home temporarily until she finds a job. Can anyone advise what information she will need to export her benefits here. Does she need to get a pps number - how does she do that? Does she need a letter showing her address here? If yes, does it need to be something formal like a bank account, actually that is another question, can she open a bank account here easily without a permanent address?
