Jobs in Waterford

Hi

I am in the process of relocating home and trying to find a job. I have registered with most of the agencies in Waterford, but don't find them to be any good.

Can anybody recommend an agency they found good or where they looked to find employment. I am ideally looking for HR Admin work or a permanent admin job.

I would consider anywhere within an hours drive of Waterford - Wexford, Kilkennt, Tipperary etc.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

just moved to waterford myself, and found Hartley people on the quays extremely good, offered me options on a number of interviews and worked out well,
Outside of that drop into the IDA HQ on the Cork road and get the business listings for the companies in the Tech parks and then drop in the CVs to them.

Sales and marketing was end result but they offered me a selection of opportunities, I'd say as well recruitireland.com is worth keeping a close eye on as all the agencies seem to post on that and to be fair to the agencies can you imagine how many CVs on file they have which mean nothing to them until they put you forward for an interview. Then you're more than an xxx.doc,. Ya can't afford to be lax about it either as the waterford labour market seems to be very preferential to employers coz there seems to be a lot of people on the lookout.
however still lots of decent work out there

I would suggest examining the regional newspapers, especially the agency adverts for specific positions. Agencies in the South East tend to be a little smaller than their Dublin Cousins with smaller databases of positions and people.
We recruited lately in the South East and found that the initial response from the Agencies was a poor collection of CV's to say the least. When the agencies ran the position in the regional papers there were a lot more CV's and some of a better quality.
We were recruiting for accounting/admin and found that there were not a lot of candidates with good experience.
Hartley People (mentioned above) is one of the larger agencies but are recruiting for a wide range of positions e.g. from Chefs to HR Managers. Others like WBS, Rigney Dolphin and RPG are smaller and a little more specialised.
