jobs.ie security breach

I just got an email from jobs.ie with the following

I am writing to bring your attention to a security breach on Jobs.ie which occurred yesterday evening. Although this breach was identified and stopped quickly, a small number of CVs were illegally downloaded. Unfortunately your CV was one of the records taken.

Should I be worried and what if anything can I do about this. Personal tel no's and email addresses are on the cv along with work experience so not happy this info is some unauthorized persons hands

It certainly increases the chance of identity theft, but by how much, I don't know...

Some more details here. You may like to check with the Data Protection Commissioner - at a minimum, his office should definitely be notified of this breach.

Considering everyone sends CV's out to complete strangers when looking for jobs. I'd wouldn't be that worried. Annoyed certainly.

You could be lucky and get an email from Nigeria, offering you an opportunity as a door-to-door salesman .

If so .................Go for it ...............its the chance of a lifetime .
