Earnings of less than €146.50 a week are excluded from the assessment of means for OPFP. Where weekly earnings exceed €146.50 a week but are less than €400.00 per week, half of those earnings are assessed as income and a reduced rate of One Parent Family Payment is payable.
As a total aside to your query hope you have agreed all the smaller issues that go with job share, like holidays and public holidays. It can be a great idea as long as all the details are worked out and be sure you have a PRSI payment for all 52 weeks not 26.
thanks never thought about prsi employer never mentioned it. is it up to them or the revenue. this is just a short term solution to spend time at home i intend to go back full time in a year
It's actually up to you to do the checks to be sure you have a PRSI payment each week. That information should be on your payslip.
If you only get a PRSI contribution every second week you may need to re-negotiate your working days.
Some people job share by working mornings only, others by working 2.5 days per week etc.
