Job seekers query when offered a new job?

Hi Folks,

I am currently claiming jobseekers allowance. I have just been offered a part time job . What is the best way for me to deal with this with the jobseekers allowance.
Should i keep filling out the cards, indicating that i am not available for work but at least staying in the system or should i stop job seekers altogether?, also if i stop can i restart again this year.

appreciate any help / advise going.

You are obliged to take the job as you are getting Jobseeker's payments on the basis that you are looking for work. Also, it is far nbetter to be working than not working. If you end up unemployed again inj two months time, you will have extended your entitled to JB by the period you didn't claim.
