Here is a quote from social welfare site in relation to jobseekers benefit duration of payment
"If you were getting Jobseeker's Benefit for at least 6 months before 15 October 2008 you can claim Jobseeker's Benefit for up to 15 months (65 weeks). "
So my question is does the period of 6 months before 15 October 2008 have to be continuous or can it be broken. I have worked 6 months part time for the last few years and was in receipt of JB for the rest of the year. Worked Feb to Sep each year, so in Oct 2008, I had only been on JB for 1 month, do the previous periods on JB count ?
