Has anyone bought one of these things? And are they any good? Am looking to buy one for cleaning the surround of a fireplace

We have a Penguin, same sort of thing as the JML only cheaper,
it's fine for small jobs.
These are disposable items, just buy the cheapest you can get.
Which probably won't be the Steam Bee.

I bought a small steamer similar to the Steam Bee. It performs quite well, but did not remove soap scum from a shower screen, neither did it remove much from the oven. My view is the steam cleaner will not do much more than a conventional cleaner and good old fashioned elbow grease.

I have been told they are very good for cleaning alloy wheels, but have not tried it myself.

I seem to remember there was a previous thread about steam cleaners on AAM.

I havent heard of the penguin, where can you get that. My mother wants one for cleaning the tiles on her fireplace.

We got ours in Power City, but I am sure I have seen them in other stores.

A bit late in the day I know but the Penguin is useless. It just sputs out occasional bursts of steam.

This is it:
