Jewellery in Poland (Warsaw)

Hi,

Going to Poland next week and have been told its a great place to buy jewellery particularly rings.
Dose anybody out there know any thing about this as I would like to get a nice surprise for my better half.
I am told to particularly look out for black coloured diamond stones which could be good value! I was given the name of this stone but of course I have forgotten.

Would appreciate any help I can get.

BTW Would it be a good idea to bring Euros or should I get Zlotys for the trip. Are credit cards and the like readily accepted.

Credit Cards widely taken in all tourist shops, restaurants etc.
Bring Zlty, you can use Euro but just in case.
You can use an AIB Banklink card over there!

How can you be sure that you're not being ripped off on price? BBC's Watchdog show had a customer who bought a right for £1500 which was valued elsewhere at £600 - I guess your chances of getting your money back in Warsaw in such circumstances are low?
