Jersey

From the DAA "airport shopping" website

Remember that the following European destinations are not part of the EU and full duty free allowances apply when travelling to: Canary Islands, Channel Islands, Norway, Switzerland and Iceland.

So it appears you can buy duty free on your way to Jersey!

But would you want to? Jersey is virtually a duty-free island.

Gibraltar is also duty free however when I did some research on prices I found that some products were dearer in Gibraltar than the U.K.

I am a non smoker but I usually bring back some smokes as pressies etc. Does anyone know the price of 200 smokes in Jersey or even the duty free price at Dublin Airport.

Its about 8 years since I was in Jersey last, but the cost of living there at the time was a fraction of here, or the UK ( except rent, which is irrelevent as a tourist).

All consumer items were cheaper and fags were very cheap.
