JB running out ....

I've a friend on JB, its due to run out at the end of the year, would a 4 month contract replenish the jb or what is the min amount of time.

once job benefit runs out you appply for job assistance which is means tested. once you cash capital below 20k you will qualify. the job assistance is same amount as benefit and i dont think it is taxable.

As far a I know JA is taxable.

He won't get JA as his wife is earning a decent wage.
How long wil lhe have to be working, assuming he gets a job, before his full entitlement to JB is back again?

You need 13 paid PRSI contributions (normally Class A rate) to requalify for JB
