My gf was on 3 day week for approx2 years and getting jb for other 2 days. They cut this a couple of weeks ago - not sure if stamps ran out or not.

She is now on maternity leave - to make thinks a little complex, we found a community creche who were going to chagre 40 euro a week as she was on benefits - This is now going to go to 170 a week since cut - she has applied for ja - but I don't think it will be given

We will be down the jb allowance of 92 and then have to pay an extra 130 a week to the creche - Its really thrown a spanner in the works as we basically can now not afford the creche..

would appreciate any advice.

Hi Senn,

Your post is very unclear, did your girlfriend not go into social welfare and enquire as to why her benefit was cut? If her job seekers benefit is used up, she will be means tested for job seekers assistance but if you are working and earning in excess of 400 euro per week then she won't qualify.
