Are Japanese imports generally reliable ? Is there issues with getting parts ? Any issues with bringing an import e.g a VW Polo to my local VW dealer for servicing ?
If you're considering bringing in a second hand car from Japan to save a few quid, then don't go to a main dealer for servicing. A good independent will have much lower labour rates and will likely also save you on parts as well.
Just make sure they use genuine or top-quality service parts and consumables. There is a commonly used, cheap, 3rd-party brand (at least one that I'm aware of) you should be wary of. Am I allowed to mention it here?
