Does anyone know how to understand the info on a Japanese car auction report?
 
I have a 1 page document which I was told was the auction report. I was just wondering about the number etc on it. There's also a drawing of the car with some things written on it - A2, B3, XX, 5 and 6 (wheels) Do you know what these refer to? or where I can find out? Mainly just curiosity!!
 
A2, B3, etc: scratches and dents on the body (1: very small - 2: medium, etc..)

XX: replaced (probably after crash).

5-6 on wheels: thread depth in mm
 
Vehicle Grading

GRADING SCALE:

5 Brand new or almost new
4.5 Very good condition
4.0 Above average to Good condition
3.5 Average - Good condition
3.0 Below average condition
2.5 Poor condition
2.0 Very poor condition
1.0 Suspension, Engine, Transmission or Exhaust modified or in severly bad condition beyond normal vehicle specifications
0 Vehicle has accident history

E - Pin Dent
A1 - Small Scratch
A2 - Medium Scratch
A3 - Big Scratch
U1 - Small Dent
U2 - Medium Dent
U3 - Big Dent
B1 - Small dent and scratch
B2 - Medium dent and scratch
B3 - Big dent and scratch
Y1 - Small crack
Y2 - Medium crack
Y3 - Big crack
SC1 - Small rust area
SC2 - Medium rust area
SC3 - Big rust area
W - Panel is wave
W3 - Bad repair
XX - Changed part
H - Paint coming off
K - Signboard
X1 - Small crack or stone chip on glass (window)
X2 - Middle crack or stone chip on glass (window)
X3 - Changed part

that's great -thanks a mill - I'll try and figure it all out............ looks like the car may have been crashed as there's an xx on the bonnet
 
If the car has been crashed it will br graded as a "0"

XX could also mean an aftermarket bonnet has been fitted - for example a Carbon Fibre bonnet??
 
No sign of a 0 -

Where is the grading? what I think might be grading has A3 and BA

There is a circle on the drawing with T inside - any idea what this is?
