JA and partner receiving carers allowance??

hi all, i am going to be claiming JA soon as i'm due to be laid off work in the comin weeks :( what i want to know is how much JA would i be entitled to?? circ.... i have worked in d same job for 6 yrs, my partner is a full time carer to our 6yr old autistic son and we have a 5yr old daughter also!!!! Do I just claim JA for myself or can i Claim qualified adult and child allowance also if my partner is receiving carers allowance???

If you have been working in the same job for 6 years it is likely that you will qualify for JB at the full rate 196.00. You will not receive any QA for your partner as she is already in receipt of Carers. You should also claim for your children.

You may also be entitled to a Medical card or GP visit card
 
thank you black sheep!!! i was thinkin i read it wrong on d citizens advice page :( it said that if your partner/spouse has earnings of 300 r less you can claim qualified adult allowance! not the full rate but half rate
 
Sorry if I mislead you. It would probably be more beneficial financially to claim QA for you partner and she get 1/2 rate Carers
