iTunes and avi & wmv files

I know iTunes will not let you add avi files to the library, but is the same true for wmv files?

I thought it would allow wmv files to be used as it converts wma files for use..???

You need to convert them to mp4

iTunes converts the wma files automatically to m4a files....any reason why it doesn't convert the wmv files to m4v?

Dont know , I always uses a convertor & never have any problems.
