hi folks, i have a question regarding a purchase i made , via the internet , a couple of weeks ago. I bought an item from a uk online shop, it was a phone. was advertised as brand new,and they were the service provider reseller.
when the phone arrived, it looked like new, but i found later other peoples numbers in it, and the call timers were not at zero.. I called the shop and basically, they said that if i was happy to keep it they would discount the price, ( £100) I said that would be ok, considering the item looked like new.. and i stated that only if the phone was perfect ... however the phone has now broken down, and I discovered that the serial number of the phone , doesent match the serial number printed on the box of the phone.
I called them friday, and the guy that deals with this sorta stuff, was on a day off, and they would call me monday, and tell me what they were going to do...
my question is, can i demand a new phone? when i had ordered the phone, i ordered a new one, but was talked into keeping it, and getting a £100 refund..
any suggestions welcome. i paid for the item by credit card.
