Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this one. I need to open AAM using https://www.askaboutmoney.com instead of http://www.askaboutmoney.com in order to edit.

I'm not sure why this is the case but it seems to be the same for using gmail. Is there any reason why this happened?

The sites I use are secure sites and from what I can figure out https:// is for opening 'secure' sites? Is there any way I can set my browser to automatically open sites using https so I don't have to redo all my bookmarks?

This change seemed seemed to have happened yesterday although I've been using the sites for years

I use Firefox browser and XP.

Thanks in advance.

Not very technical, but as far as I know ,I think you'll need to ask Brendan to set up AAM with a secure https link first. You cant just change the address and hope there is a home there!

https will only work if the site has an SSL cert and not all of them will

In any case, it's down to the person running the site to setup SSL etc., not the visitor

Whether you open in https or http is down to the bookmark and if the site supports it - perhaps AAM has changed recently to require https to edit? The admin will know if he has. Other than that, have you installed any add-ons on Firefox recently? They may be causing the issue.

If the only solution is to change all your bookmarks, try exporting the bookmarks first, editing them in notepad then doing a "Find and Replace" for http:// to https:// - then you can import them back in and it should have updated your bookmarks in bulk.
