the water from the roof of our garden shed runs down the drainpipe and into a water barrel.
my husband put a hole in the base of it to let the water out and prevent any more going in - we effectively have no barrel now. we have 2 small children and he's concerned about the safety of it. i argued that we could have put chicken wire on the top of it, like in those water safety ads on the telly years ago. anyway, the barrel is busted now so i'm thinking that the area where it is will be like a quagmire duing heavy rain. are there any safe water barrels available? i've looked online but havent found anything.
any suggestions?
