Is there a problem with the Motor tax payment website?

I got an email about my car tax renewal. Logged in directly to the motor tax website to renew, not through link. I noticed that I was not asked for my car insurance details but directed to the payments section. Made my payment.......no acknowledgement received later, and no disc in the post.

Is there a problem with the motor tax website?
 
You don't need to provide insurance details any more. The insurance companies now give access to insurance data to the Gardaí via their own database.
There was a pop up box explaining the change on the motortax website, which might not be displayed now.

You don't need to provide your car insurance details anymore. The Motor Insurers' Bureau of Ireland manages the Irish Motor Insurance Database (IMID). The database contains policy holder and vehicle registration details provided by insurers, brokers, fleet owners, and traders. An Garda Síochána uses this database to enforce motor insurance requirements.
 
A page usually appears to thank you for the payment and has a link if you want to print the page.

I don't think you get a further confirmation email.

Disc usually arrives 3-4 days afterwards.

So many online fields are prefilled that it is very quick to complete transactions like this as the information is already completed.

If the transaction is progressing you should be able to see the payment on your online banking.

As far as I can recall you need to give your email address to request email confirmation so you may have left this blank.

At the end of the transaction they give you the option to print off the confirmation with the transaction number.

If none of the above happened it might be best if you contact them.
