Is it possible to use a credit card to pay my mortgage

Hi guys,
Just looking to see if it is possible to use any credit card to pay off my mortgage ie setup a Direct debit / make a payment over the phone.
This is my largest out going on a monthly bases and was trying to get some extra?

Brendan,
I wouldn't want to withdraw the cash only use my credit card to pay for my most expensive monthly out going. Ideally I'd like to get my credit card to see my monthly mortgage payment as a purchase so I can get money back on each monthly spend.

This seems to not be seen by some companies in the US as a cash advance but it is here

I can see your logic if you were super careful with cashflow each month, so as to always repay on time, but cash advance fees makes it not worth it

A lot of the major US issuers just completely block the transaction. It's possible to block particular Merchant Category Codes per card scheme.
I think the card issuers here do that.
