I wonder if someone can help me. I travel to Frankfurt very regularly and am thinking of opening a bank account there.

Does anyone know if this possible given that I don't reside in Germany?

Thanks

Not sure, but I thought being in the eurozone was supposed to make this kind of thing unnecessary?

If you can supply a German address - no problem. Alternatively go to DeutscheBank in the Irish Life building and talk to them. Citibank have (or at least used to have) lots of branches in Germany. They have an office in the IFSC.

Sorry, did not fully read the OP. If you don't reside there you may fare better by trying to set up an account from this side. If you are doing business there an off-the-shelf Ltd Co will suffice.

From what I know, you need to have a resident address

From what I remember, you need an "anmelde bescheinigung", which you get from the town hall of the town where you're living. Even if you are living in Germany for a short time you are apparently legally obliged to register your address at the town hall.
