Health Insurance Is health insurance for pre teen kids worth it?

I am moving roles, in my current one i was fortunate enough to have a gold plated health policy that covered my family and me. My new role is more of a start up so the cover is restriced to just me.

What im wondering is, is it worth taking out cover for the kids (both under 8)?
 
Yes i get that, but itll need to be a basic plan with private hospital cover. I think it will be circa 400 each (less that 20% of 500) so 300 net or 600 per annum for both,

on reflection its probably cheap enough to take out just in case.

Hi All Our family of 2 adults and 3 children are currently on Aviva leve 1 hospital (well, it says the adults are hospital and the kids are level 1 plan?) Bottom line is our insurance is currently €85 per mth(kids free)but will be going up to €160.53 per mth in April and we can't afford...
