I inherited from one of my parents some years ago and no CAT was due as I was under the then threshold. I will now inherit from my other parent.
Does the Group A threshold of €335K apply separately to both parents or do I add my previous inheritance to the current inheritance and pay CAT on the amount above the €335K?

The threshold is cumulative and applies to the total taxable benefits you have received in that group. (You must include the taxable value of any previous gifts and inheritances received since 5 December 1991 in the same group.)
