Is a will worth while if there is no estate

Is it worth while making a will if there no estate of value. My wife and I hold joint tenancy in the family home and the mortgage is clear. The home does not form part of the estate and title is transferred to the survivor by submission of Form 47 to the PRA accompanied by a death certificate. Our bank account is joint. There are no other assets. There are no other benificiaries.
So, is there any point in making a will under these circumstances ?

So if the 2 of you die together in a car accident tomorrow (God forbid), do you not care where your assets go? Or if one of you dies in a car accident, and the other dies a few months later of their injuries - I think everything would go to the next of kin of the second to die (as dictated by the rules of succession). But maybe you’d like your assets to go to family members on both sides?
(Maybe you have kids - I assume not from your post.)

For the surviving spouse, or next of kin, dealing with the estate and Probate is a lot more straightforward if there's a will.

It really doesn't cost very much, and there are few good reasons (if any?) not to have a will.
