Is a mortgage payment 'missed' if it's not called for twice?

Hi guys,
Have a mortgage with IBRC(and with INBS since 1998). In August there were insufficient funds to pay it. This happens occasionally , for example when tenant is late with rent. They always come back a second time at the end of the month(as in fact occured in July) but this time for some reason they didn't. I had made sure the funds were there.
Is this now a missed payment? If so it will affect my credit rating. Do I have any comeback?

you are in arrears unless you make a manual payment.

most banks dont report to the icb unless you make 3 missed payments
so you may be ok.

check with your bank to make sure the direct debit is still in place,
most direct debits will be cancelled if they miss a certain amount of times.

Why don't you get an overdraft facility and avoid this unnecessary scenario which at some point will damage your credit rating for 2 years.

.

Thanks guys for the responses. I already live in my overdraft unfortunately!
