I am pitifully behind in my tax returns and panic is creeping . Returned to Ireland last summer and need to have my 2005 Irish tax returns completed and then do my U.S. ones.
* I'm looking for someone to do the Irish ones. I've been told that I can elect to be resident in Ireland for the full yr, but not sure what way will best position me.
* Also, although we had been declaring a rental property based in Ireland, within our U.S. tax returns I am led to believe that I should have been declaring this to the Irish revenue also . (The company that first completed my tax returns indicated that this was NOT the case, hence the slip-up).
Does any one have names of people/companies or institutions where I can find someone? What qualifications should I check for or should they be a member of a particular body or something? I may potentially do these myself but would like to explore having someone else do then and see the costs involved etc.
